i remember clearly the night
i realised that i liked you.
you were sitting on the couch
deep in conversation,
wearing your grey top
and red flannel overshirt
with one elbow propped up on the couch
while your face rested on your hand.

i remember watching your gaze drift to the ceiling
as you collected your thoughts,
and i thought 'wow,
he is one attractive man'.

there's something about your eyes
that hold my attention.
you have the most gentle eyes i have ever seen.
i like the way the light pools in your eyes.
it's nice,
just like you.

this is becoming a bit too
cringey,
